Rivers CJ hands-off murder case against ex-Chairman

Chief Judge of Riv­ers State and Judge handling the murder case involving the former Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Coun­cil, Ojukaye Flag Ama­chree, Justice Adama Iyayi-Lamikanra, has reassigned the matter to another High court Judge.

Ojukaye Flag Amachree is arraigned in the CJ’s court for alleged attempted murder of one Ipalibo Jack­son on April 11, 2015, in Ojukaye’s compound.
Justice Laminkara in a ruling during the arraign­ment of Ojukaye Flag Ama­chree on a stretcher in the court room, said she would be discontinuing with the matter due to the series of petitions against her to the National Judicial Council by the accused person.
